Rachel Dickins

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

 Rachel, the founder and CEO of our organization, grew up in the Ivory Coast. Since 2011, our CEO’s knowledge of our sponsored region ensures BRAID Africa’s programs integrate with the culture of the communities we assist.  

Rachel graduated from King's College London with a Diploma in Higher Education in Adult Nursing, after which she worked for the National Health Service (NHS) in the United Kingdom (UK) as a Registered Nurse (RN). She received her Master of Science (MSc) in Occupational Health from Surrey University in the UK. Member of the working group on healthcare waste at the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA) and worked for the UK Healthcare Waste and Resources Research Group. She received an award from the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) in recognition of her excellent work on the IOSH Safety Sciences Group Student Research Competition.  She is a Private Occupational Health and Safety Consultant. In recent years, Rachel has devoted her time to humanitarian work and providing assistance to war trauma individuals and communities in Liberia and Ivory Coast.
