Rejuvenating lives with Seed funding
BRAID Africa Supports Community BuildingThis community of Ivorian war refugees is thriving in a remote part of Liberia. They are successfully farming the land. The day after our visit, one of the village singers walked the entire distance that had taken us two hours to drive by car. He came to ask if BRAID Africa could provide a motorbike so one of the villagers could take community-grown produce to market in town. “We can earn money for our village by selling our produce,” he explained, offering a huge, delicious-looking pineapple he brought as both an example and a gift, “if we can just get our produce to town to sell.
You can help communities like this one overcome barriers to their success. |
Story of NadineNadine suffered from post traumatic stress after repeated gang raping during the 2011 Ivory Coast civil war. For Nadine, recovery came in the form of help to start a small beverage business, which allowed her to focus on her business, her son and the future instead of horrors of the past.
BRAID Africa provides seed funding to help victims of war rebuild shattered lives with small enterprise. |
